Serves as the insurance registration expert to support front desk registration process at Primary Care clinic sites. Decreases insurance denials and increases revenue collections for the site by ensuring accurate patient registrations and performing pre-certification of insurance


Reviews each HAR created and revises the EPIC Registration system according to approved policy and procedures. The results are a centralized registration process that will decrease insurance denials and increase revenue.

Perform precertification/verification for the following 4 areas: Risk plans requiring referrals from Primary Care Physicians to ensure coverage. Appointments which were not verified through the NEBO batching verification process (returned a denied status). High cost drugs provided in Ambulatory for which prior approval is required from carriers. Same day radiology appointments.

Contacts patients or patient guardians regarding insurance status issues or verification of insurance prior to patient arrival. Counsels patients on their insurance status according to Loyola Medicine approved policy and procedures.

Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education
Preferred: Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college
