Job Summary:

We are seeking to recruit a Scientist to join Physicochemical Development Department. In this role you will be will be responsible for analytical method development and structure characterization of biopharmaceutical products, such as enzymes, peptides, monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins. You will lead the development and improvement of analytical methods, which include, but are not limited to HPLC/UPLC and/or CE. The Scientist will be expected to design, execute and document laboratory studies for supporting process development, clinical trial and product license application.

Primary Responsibilities:

This role will carry out a variety of analytical techniques with emphasis on peptide mapping analysis for variety of biopharmaceutical products, such as humanized monoclonal antibodies, antibody-drug conjugates, and recombinant proteins. The Scientist will be exposed to Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry and Electrophoresis techniques in supporting development, manufacturing, and characterization of products and will make detailed experimental observations, review and analyze data, and might need to interpret experimental results, and summarize data for presentations and reports. You will have opportunity to author/revise SOPs, protocols, reports and other relevant documentation.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Hands on experience of peptide mapping assay.

Relevant industry and technology experience as well as a background in protein chemistry.

Great teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical.

Good multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills are required.

The ability to follow SOPs, policies, and regulations, and to perform routine lab equipment maintenance is required.

Ability to work in a team environment, attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills are also necessary.

Experience on chromatography (SEC, IEC, RPLC, GC), and/or electrophoresis (cIEF, CE-SDS) is a plus

Education:

Master's degree or PhD in Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry

Qualifications:

Scientist: MS with 2+ years of BioPharma experience

Special Skills/Abilities: Familiarity with data analysis software such as Protein Metrics, MassHunter, MassLynx, Empower, and OpenLab, is desirable.

o Hands-on experience in analysis of proteins, peptides and glycans with analytical methods such as SEC, RP, IEX, HIC, HILIC, CE-SDS, cIEF, CZE.

o Method development and optimization experience

o Hands-on experience in robustness evaluation of HPLC and/or CE methods

o Detail-oriented and capable of identifying and solving scientific problems.

o Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and drive multiple projects simultaneously.

o Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, good documentation skill.

o Good multi-tasking, time management and organizational skills are essential.

o Experience with N- and O-glycan characterization is a strong plus.

o Experience with LC-MS analysis of peptides and proteins is a plus.
