Leading the GTM variable compensation programs across Sales and Customer Experience teams at Everlaw, you will be at the center of our efforts to continue scaling our GTM teams and improving the way we operate through compensation. Within the larger GTM Strategy and Operations team, you will report to our VP of Strategy and Operations and be the first dedicated hire into this role. Your role scope and size, including the need to build a team, will grow and scale as our GTM organization continues to grow and become more sophisticated. You will be the go-to expert across the company on developing, implementing, and executing our variable compensation program across SDR, pre-Sales, Sales, and Success teams. By helping to motivate our customer facing teams, you will be helping drive our core mission of helping our customers discover truth and promote justice.

The GTM Strategy and Operations team at Everlaw is an essential component of our GTM organization supporting all customer teams across Sales, Customer Success, Support, Operations, and more. We work hard to enable our GTM teams to be as productive and efficient as possible, to provide strategic direction to inform GTM decisions, and create an inclusive and supportive environment across our GTM teams. We manage the systems and tooling, processes and workflows, variable compensation, training and enablement, analytics, strategy and planning, and program management for our GTM teams.

This is a full-time position based in our New York, NY office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home Tu/Fr.

In this role you'll...
    • Run our variable compensation and incentive programs end-to-end for our GTM teams across quantitative attainment-based programs and more qualitative MBO-based programs. Roles currently needing support include SDRs, pre-sales, AEs, and CSMs.
    • Advise GTM leadership on designing metrics and measures to be used in incentive compensation and overall program design.
    • Develop comp plan structure (e.g., accelerators, payout thresholds), including analysis of options, in conjunction with key stakeholders across GTM leadership, Finance, and HR.
    • Collaborate with company compensation, payroll, and FP&A teams to ensure GTM variable compensation fits within the guardrails of company compensation philosophy, budgets are maintained, and payroll is accurate.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, documentation, and trainings for compensation programs.
    • Be the business owner and primary user of our variable compensation system.
    • Implement compensation plans, measures, targets / quotas into the compensation system.
    • Advise on and manage any special compensation programs (e.g., SPIFFs) run within the GTM organization.
    • Prepare, distribute, and manage compensation agreements, including coordination with internal and external counsel to develop agreement language.
    • Process variable compensation payouts monthly, including running checks for anomalies and potential data inaccuracies.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of our compensation programs and recommend changes to keep the program aligned with company objectives and budget targets.


About you
    • You have at least 8 years of experience in sales operations, analytics, and compensation programs.
    • You have a detailed understanding of GTM models, roles and structures, metrics, and the role of using variable compensation as a means of influencing behavior.
    • Have deep experience designing and executing variable compensation programs for GTM roles.
    • You have extensively used and managed a sales compensation system.
    • You have extensive experience executing analysis in support of compensation programs including measure outcomes and quota attainment, modeling of program options and expense outcomes.

    • The expected salary range for this role is between $150,000 and $170,000. The final offered salary will be dependent upon many factors including the candidate's experience and skills. The base pay range is subject to change in the future.
