Position: Senior IT Systems Analyst.

Reports: Senior Manager, IT Systems.

Location: Preference Washington, DC

Summary of Role:

As a member of the IT Systems and Apps team, the Senior IT Systems Analyst will administer the management of Pathfinder Endpoints to ensure that Pathfinder assets are protected, available, and configured to meet the organization's needs. Additionally, the position is part of a team providing tier 1 support of Pathfinders as part of a global support model. The Senior IT Systems Analyst is responsible for managing a global inventory of endpoint devices, working closely with the global procurement team and vendors. The position also works closely with the applications team to manage accounts, access to systems, assisting in the development of automated workflows, and increasing overall digital efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Endpoint Management:

  • Work with the Microsoft suite of tools (Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune / Defender) to provide a safe, secure, and managed desktop to Pathfinders globally.

Inventory Management:
  • In conjunction with the global IT and Procurement teams, maintain a managed inventory of endpoint devices to ensure all Pathfinders have a working desktop device. Work with vendors to establish and maintain a relationship for replacement, support, and modern devices.

IT Team Project Management:
  • Work with regional IT teams to attain set standards and objectives. Coordinate application implementations and upgrades. Build and maintain relationships with all IT units to ensure that goals are understood and met.

Application Management:
  • Ensures timely coordination and communication of specific program requirements, needs, and initiatives with Pathfinder teams globally. Ensures existing applications are up to date, cataloged, and known to all Pathfinders minimizing redundancies.

Systems Administration:
  • Administers and supports systems and user infrastructure in close coordination with IT Systems team and Pathfinder's global IT standards. Ensures timely backups of all necessary systems data. Ensures high standards of systems availability across a range of physical conditions as budgets allow.

User Support:
  • Provide quality end user support including in-person break-fix, remote assistance, and request fulfillment for new hardware and software. Triage and escalate issues to other IT departments as appropriate. Enter, update, and resolve all support activity into the ticketing system within SLA

Required Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required competencies
  • 5 years of hands-on IT experience
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Windows, Server Management, Azure, and on-prem Active Directory
  • 4 years in service desk environment
  • 3 years management experience
  • IT Administration: Foundational skills in Microsoft Azure, Hyper-V, public and private networks; communication systems, data management, and endpoint management
  • Computer Applications and Systems: Foundational knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power BI, Power Automate)
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, support, and implement technical solutions at all levels, especially the desktop
  • Systems Documentation: Foundational skills managing systems documentation

Preferred Competence and Work Experience:
  • 8 years of hands-on IT experience
  • 5 years in a service desk environment
  • 5 years of management experience
  • Previous work experience with an international NGO
  • Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Services: Foundational knowledge of family planning and reproductive health principles, practices and services, including program strategies and indicators.
  • Languages: Ability to use local language and English language.
  • Communication: Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Passion for Sexual and Reproductive Health: Demonstrated commitment to family planning, reproductive health services, gender, maternal, child health services, and eradication of harmful traditional practices.
  • Influencing: Ability to influence others at all levels within the organization.
  • Customer Service: Advanced customer service skills.
  • Organization, Planning and Multi-tasking: Advanced organizational and planning skills, project planning and management skills. Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Self-Management and Teamwork: Ability to work independently or as a member of the team, ability to be detailed-oriented, and ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Matrix Management: Ability to thrive in a matrixed organization.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality on work-related matters.
