Description: Our client is currently seeking a Java Backend Software Engineer
Candidates need to be located in Canada or USA in Eastern or Central time zones
Java Backend Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities: Full tech stack JAVA developer within depth knowledge of the JAVA Spring Framework
Development of application business logic and REST API
Mentor to more junior JAVA developers
Code Review of colleague's code
Write solid and reusable unit test code in the SPOCK framework
Work closely with Business Analysts & front-end developers to implement user stories & requirements
Qualifications: 8+ years of development experience
Computer Science Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
In Depth knowledge of Java & Spring Framework
Strong understanding of the Spock framework, Object Oriented Programming & SQL
Strong understanding of REST
Strong in Springboot
Preferred: Experience with JIRA & BitBucket/GitHub
Experience with IntelliJ IDE
Must be able to pass a security background check
