Our Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC) is one of 30 production facilities in 18 countries that creates life-changing medicines for people around the world. This biologics manufacturing facility makes a direct contribution to treating people with cancer, respiratory and autoimmune conditions across the globe. It's challenging but highly rewarding work, involves more than 675 talented people throughout the manufacturing lifecycle and supporting office functions. The Senior Manufacturing Associate is responsible for supporting tech transfer initiatives (supporting batch production records generation or revision and related non-conformances) and implementing technical or efficiency projects within the function.

What you'll do:

  • Manufacturing Production Records (MPR) generation and revision (paper and electronic)
  • On the floor support for execution of process changes
  • Training on documents and process changes
  • Document review and coordination of changes with production area
  • Support specialists/supervisors as needed
  • Support investigations
  • Supporting projects as needed
  • Point of contact for cross department request
  • Reviewing source documents (QCTP, FFR, PD, etc) to ensure alignment with manufacturing
    capabilities
  • Troubleshooting process and equipment failures
  • Recipe review and testing
  • Label generation and revisions
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards

Qualifications:

Essential:
  • B.S./B.A./M.S. engineering, biological sciences, physical sciences, or equivalent field of study.
  • 2-3 years experience in pilot or commercial biologics manufacturing under cGMP.
  • Experience with Cell cultures cultivation, fermentation and purification.

Desirable:
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred.
