Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Cradlepoint has an immediate opening for a Senior ServiceNow Administrator-Developer within Global Information Technology. This role will support the maintenance and administration of the Cradlepoint ServiceNow instance and development efforts to integrate existing business functions and the automation of existing business workflows. The candidate will leverage out-of-the-box functionality as well as possess the skills to develop customized workflows and applications. The primary role will be the day-to-day administration of all deployed ServiceNow Modules - ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, IRM, and Change Management. The candidate must have the ability to gather requirements from various business units and organizations and translate them into implementation plans that leverage existing or new ServiceNow Modules to enhance and automate existing business practices.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be a team player with an "I Care" attitude. As required, occasional user support and periodic on-call duty, including nights and weekends. You will be expected to be a proactive worker and generate IT solutions that enhance the business they support. You must be able to take your experience and knowledge of systems administration and IT support to the next level and work with a world-class team to deliver on the operational goal of supporting the operational growth and resilience along with management visibility of Cradlepoint's overall IT functions.

What Will You Do?

  • Maintain and administer the Cradlepoint ServiceNow instance
  • Develop policies and standards to maintain the integrity of the CMDB
  • Develop ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly Script, Web Services, GlideRecord, MYSQL, XML, HTML, and CSS
  • Configure application-related fields, forms, views, email notifications, acceptance roles, and access controls
  • Participate in broad independent interactions with all levels of personnel
  • Administration of Knowledge Base and Service Catalog
  • Integrate ServiceNow applications with third-party systems/applications via APIs
  • Implement the enterprise-wide strategy, and key initiatives/projects focused on improving the business value, resilience, and operational agility within Cradlepoint under the direction of the Sr. Director of Networking & Infrastructure
  • Operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ServiceNow
  • Assist in the development of solutions and solving complex/unique problems concerning Cradlepoint's infrastructure
  • Assist in the execution of departmental plans, including business, production, and/or organizational priorities, and contribute to the IT and infrastructure functional strategy
  • Work with IT and business teams to develop solutions that address root causes
  • Utilize existing tools and processes to extend coverage, increase effectiveness and expand capabilities
  • Work with diverse IT and business teams to assist in developing solutions to business issues in an effective and efficient fashion
  • Possess the ability to effectively identify, evaluate and communicate new and ongoing issues or areas of concern
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Five (5+) years of relevant working experience in ServiceNow
  • Experience with JavaScripting and Python
  • Experience working with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Script Includes, and Access Control Lists
  • Experience with the creation and customization of complex workflows and custom workflow activities
  • Experience in maintaining and building a CMDB/CI through discovery
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow configuration and architecture
  • Possess strong technical skills and comprehension of IT concepts & solutions
  • Understanding of core infrastructure troubleshooting methodologies and process
  • Ability to work on complex projects and with diverse teams
  • Provide original solutions to complex problems with the ability to advise and recommend advanced technical approaches and solutions
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades to IT infrastructure
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
