JOB SUMMARY

Perform snow and ice removal including snow blowing, shoveling, applying salt, sand, and using an ice chipper to remove ice build-up on sidewalks and walkways, parking lots and common spaces. As well as a variety of other tasks assigned by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Snowblows, shovels, and removes ice from walking surfaces.
• Clears parking lots of snow utilizing plow trucks and skid loaders.
• Documents daily tasks by filling out snow removal logs.
• Removes snow from rooftops and around buildings.
• Empties outdoor garbage and recycling bins.
• Assists custodial staff with the sorting and disposal of recyclables.
• Occasionally assists mountain operations staff by helping give lift operators breaks or running a chairlift.
• All other tasks as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Supervisor.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Class D Driver's license with no restrictions, clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions effectively.
• Prior snow removal experience is preferred.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently and 75+ pounds infrequently.
• Ability to stand for the entire work day and to climb steps regularly.
• Withstanding temperature extremes in outdoor environments.
• Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees and guests in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
• Able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.

• Snow blower, Snow Shovels, Ice Choppers, and Salt Spreaders
• Snowmobiles and ATVs
• Company Truck
• VentTrac Tractor with Snowblower Attachment.
• Skid Loader
