The Sr. Chemist is responsible for research activities on new and existing products and technologies supporting Polyisocyanurate Insulation products. This individual is responsible for defining and leading innovation strategies and managing insulation product portfolio in a cross-functional and collaborative work environment, ensuring the products function properly in building envelope systems. This encompasses assurance that raw material specifications align with processing specifications, manufacturing equipment capabilities, as well as the design and performance requirements of products used in building envelope systems. This position will research latest technologies while using laboratory and pilot equipment to create new test methods, formulations, and processing techniques to implement at each manufacturing facility. Effective communication of this knowledge will be demonstrated by sharing and teaching those within and outside our organization. This position will guide and mentor chemists, engineers, and technically trained personnel and will operate under the general guidance of the Director R&D - Insulation.

Job Responsibilities:

* Research develop, implement and sustain chemical formulations for polyurethane insulation and rigid foam products
* Document results and conclusions of test
* Develop new test
* Teach methods as needed

INDHQ

* Bachelors of Science in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science
(or related technical discipline) is preferred. Candidates with other relevant industry experience may be considered
* A minimum of 8 years of R&D experience in the Polyisocyanurate / Polyurethane Insulation industry.
Hands on experience in formulation chemistry and processing.
Research publications, product management and leadership
* Rigid, pour-in-place, and urethane foam experience
* Understanding and application of statistical methods required
