Infectious Diseases
With a new emphasis on infectious diseases, AstraZeneca's strategy in this therapeutic area focuses on ways to reduce morbidity and mortality by developing multiple avenues of prophylaxis in responding to the threat of specific infectious disease. The patient-centric approach is led by scientific discovery and clinical evidence-based life-cycle management. Current and emerging AstraZeneca infectious diseases assets include novel vaccine platforms and unique monoclonal antibody formulations against some of the most impactful diseases.

Position Summary:
AstraZeneca is forming a field medical Infectious Diseases Medical Science Liaison (ID MSL) team to support vaccine and monoclonal antibody assets against COVID-19, influenza, and other infectious diseases. This dynamic team will respond to needs across the United States by leveraging virtual interactions and managing key face-to-face engagements. Priority collaborative efforts will focus on external expert mapping and developing & maintaining peer-to-peer scientific relationships with key experts, including internal and external stakeholders. A successful candidate has a proven track record of following the science and safety of an asset while always putting the patient first.
