Sr. Product Engineer

Position Overview

Novelis Novi has an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer - Tolling and Global! Primary responsibilities can include technical support to the regional groups, providing technical support to the manufacturing units, leading product related quality plans, communicating customer information throughout the Novelis mill network, and product/process development.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal stakeholders on Customer Specific Requirements
• Inspection Plan needs
• Cert Profile design
• Initiate new product standards when required
• Packaging, palletizing, and logistics
• Process route moves both outside of the mill network and for global products.
• Visit customer and tolling locations on a regular basis or as needed.
• Coach the region on SAP creation of new Finished Goods
• Evaluate and improve the MDM process
• Create Material Masters, Inspection Plans, Cert Profiles
• Management of change of regional and global product moves and extensions.
• Create "Pull" for plant product (PCC) creation.
• Verification of plant product creation.
• Accurate SAP Product of a Coil and Recovery data.
• Verification of accurate and robust EPO instructions (MSD sheet, SAP Outputs, Packaging Requirements).
• Lead the investigation, documentation, and improvement of EPO abilities

• Packaging
• Warehousing
• Provide pertinent product data to technical service personnel as required.
• Participate in product quality and process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution.
• Establish and enforce policies and practices required to provide safe equipment, a safe working environment and safe work practices.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe working conditions at all times.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's of Science degree is required. A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering is preferred.
• 7+ years' experience in manufacturing/engineering environment, 3+ years' experience in SAP.
• 3+ years' aluminum sheet processing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate within teams and with customers

Location Profile

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people.
