Overview

Cradlepoint is actively looking for engineers for our next generation Data Plane as a Service Platform. The platform will progress as multi cluster and multi cloud platform built on Kubernetes. The ideal engineer is someone who has designed, developed and deployed systems in cloud and has strong Python or Golang background. A technical enthusiast willing to learn newer technologies and thinking out of box will suit our state-of-the-art platform.
Responsibilities

• Very hands-on in designing, writing beautiful code and quickly building prototypes in go/Python.
• Natural at writing unit tests and integrating into CI/CD.
• Design authentication and authorization services using SAML, SCIM etc
• Set up distributed tracing and telemetry solutions.
• Diagnose complex customer issues and took ownership of issue resolution.
• Pleasant to work with, passion for solving customer problems with a can-do attitude.
• Worked on an iterative and agile software delivery process.
• Collaborate closely with other cross functional engineering teams.
• Deliver rock solid production ready code.
• Mentored other engineers and done code reviews.

Qualifications

• Experience developing backend services in distributed and cloud environments
• Developed SaaS applications in the domain of microservices/applications, diagnostics and monitoring.
• Solid grasp on data structures and object-oriented design.
• Strong backend programming skills in Go lang/Python is required.
• Experience in app mesh like Istio and envoy is desired.
• Experience designing RESTful services and APIs using popular frameworks.
• Experience with scaling backend services using caching technologies such as Redis.
• Used Kafka or RabbitMQ for messaging.
• Experience in Kubernetes is highly desired.
• Worked in various DB backends like Postgres, DynamoDB etc
• Experience in developing GRPC service is a plus.
• Understanding of proxies like HA Proxy and Ngnix is desired.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins Pipeline or Bamboo)
• Bachelors and/or master's in computer science or related field of study
