Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

Essential duties and job responsibilities include the following:

• Support and manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice creation, submission, and payment of suppliers.
• Support periodic, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
• Maintain general ledger accounts.
• Responsible for Bank Reconciliations.
• Conduct account research and analysis.
• Manage Fixed assets.
• Maintain customer and vendor records in Great Plains.
• Interact with clients and suppliers on a regular basis to resolve outstanding collection & payable issues.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external auditors and tax advisors as requested.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Strong work ethic and sense of urgency.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced, growing environment.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience required

1-2 years of experience, which could include internships.

Proficient in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft products

Experience with Great Plains a plus
