$200 monthly bonus available for commutes of 30 or more miles! Conditions apply.

This is a part-time position that will work some morning/day shifts and some evening shifts. Works every other weekend and rotating holidays. This would be great for students and retires. You will need to have great customer service skills.

Central Nebraska Veterans Home 4510 E. 56th St., Kearney, NE 68847

Schedule typically is either AM shift of 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. OR PM shift of 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on weekdays, every other weekend mornings and rotating work on the holidays. May occasionally need to fill in other days. Be available in case of emergency to work on rotation basis; able to work with minimum of one hour notice. You may be scheduled to split a shift if necessary.

Examples of Work
Serves as a first point of contact to those entering the facility. Provide quality customer service at facility's main entrance; answer the facility switchboard and operate public address systems, radios, paging systems, e-mail and other devices to facilitate communication; greet visitors, members and staff; provide information; direct inquiries; maintain logs; provide surveillance of weather conditions and facility alarms; announce and report emergency codes; sort, weigh and post mail; process photocopying requests; filing; process reservations.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment.

PREFERRED: Two years of experience or training in a high traffic front office area doing the following: switchboard operation; experience maintaining a filing system, working with Microsoft applications, monitoring fire alarm system, providing service to physically/mentally challenged individuals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Skill in operating office equipment, working with MS Office, answering a multiline switchboard. Ability to interact tactfully and courteously with visitors, customers, clients, agency employees, and the public; work well under pressure and remain calm in emergency situations; make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Adapt quickly to changes in procedures.
