We're looking for someone to help build a new Talent Intelligence team in PayPal, supporting talent acquisition, HR and the business with considered insights about the external labor market, competitor activity, demographic information, and PayPal recruiting data.

Meet our team:

Talent Intelligence is a new strategic program under Global Talent Acquisition. The Talent Intelligence team sits within Global Talent Acquisition Operations and provides market research, talent insights data, and talent acquisition operations data to our sourcing and recruitment teams, internal customers and business stakeholders. Our goal is to provide talent insights and intelligence that will support recruiting, workforce planning, location selection and broader business decisions and strategy, while supporting our overall mission to hire the best talent into PayPal.

Job Purpose:

Working with the Head of Talent Intelligence, the Manager is a key position that partners with leaders to bring data about external market and competitor talent data and PayPal's recruiting performance data to inform business decisions. In this role, you will be a founding member of PayPal's Talent Intelligence capability working in the evolving field of talent intelligence and insights.

Your Day to Day:

You'll be working closely with the Head of Talent Intelligence and a team of experienced analysts to build the new capability within PayPal, building awareness of Talent Intelligence, and laying the foundations of how the team develops. A key focus of the role will be to interpret and anticipate stakeholder needs, translating this into actionable, creative research strategy.

In the role, you'll be working on the following:

  • Following best practice research methodologies at all stages, utilising new and existing technologies to delivery research in the most effective way.

  • Identifying opportunities or challenges for the application of talent intelligence data across the business through conversations across the business

  • Promote talent intelligence across PayPal and use data storytelling to communicate findings and recommendations from talent, competitor and labour market data to drive business results

  • Produce accurate and professional reports using data from a number of platforms, including Gartner Talent Neuron, Hiretual and LinkedIn Talent Insights. Collate compare and review data from multiple sources including open-source intelligence (OSINT)

  • Utilize data from PayPal talent acquisition platforms (including hiring manager and candidate satisfaction surveys) alongside external intelligence to provide a full picture of the recruiting environment and provide recommendations to drive efficiencies and improvements in the recruiting process

  • Informing the wider team of talent trends, news, and insight

  • Help to build and maintain a competitive intelligence database, qualifying and extracting information from multiple data sources

  • Support our sourcing teams in conducting extensive market research including talent demographics, skills availability analysis and competitor intelligence to find top talent pools to tap into

  • Support our diversity recruitment efforts by providing market insights

  • Create reports for Global Talent Acquisition and business partners and stakeholders to show recruiting performance, industry hiring trends, talent migration, location insights, diversity, talent pools, and competitor activity
What you need to bring:
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience in talent acquisition or related field

  • Strong sense of ownership; ability to take responsibility for the full lifecycle of projects from scoping to delivery

  • Excellent understanding of talent acquisition processes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as numerical, strategic thinking with sound business / commercial acumen.

  • Good ability of data "story telling", and in producing creative and accurate presentations.

  • Experience using talent insight tools like Gartner Talent Neuron, LinkedIn Talent Insights, Hiretual, EMSI, Draup, or building reports in Tableau or Power BI would be preferred. Don't worry if you don't have these skills, you can learn them after joining us and full training will be provided
