Job Description

ELGA LabWater is currently seeking a Technical Support Associate to work in our Woodridge, Illinois office.

The main responsibilities are the following:

Scheduling:

● Support the Service Team in scheduling the field activities at customer sites;

● Update the scheduling tool with details of the activities;

● Act as a liaison between the Field Service Engineers and the Warehouse/Customer Service/Customers ensuring that the parts and consumables needed for the site jobs are shipped;

Technical support:

● Assist customers (over the phone, or by email) troubleshooting and resolving any technical questions related to their Elga LabWater products;

● Calibrate sub-boxes and other proprietary tools and units;

● Issue Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) and Warranty requests;

● Provide assistance to Service Engineers while troubleshooting units at customer sites, identifying and using technical literature, and collecting information about recurring technical issues;

● Update the calibrated tools database assigned to the Service team and External Service Providers;

Reporting and miscellaneous:

● Assist the Service Manager with Service training sessions;

● Maintain the training units located in the Woodridge laboratory;

● Extract raw data and preparing charts and report for the Service manager's monthly analysis and review;

● In collaboration with the Products Specialist, update and maintain the Technical literature (such as Service Manual, Product Bulletins, Product Assistance files);

● Must be honest, assertive and systematic.

● Minimal travel may be required.

Qualifications

Qualifications

● Previous work experience in a technical support environment is preferred but not required

● This is a tech savvy position. You will deal with mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and water chemistry challenges as well with the implementation of new scheduling tools.

● Excellent computer skills, primarily with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.

● The ability to work in a team environment; a friendly and cooperative/positive attitude is required.

● Good verbal and written communication skills.

● Uses patience and courtesy while resolving customer complaints and conflict.

● Respects and follows all standard operating procedures.

● The ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

● Decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills.

● Able to multi-task the activities with shifting priorities.
