Description: Our client is currently seeking a Technical Support Technician - Welding Product
Laser Experience is preferred- but also looking for people with capital equipment experience

This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • The Repair Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the repair process once returned from customers. This will involve Repairing, testing, maintaining inventory, and shipping products in the repair depot and supporting the product at customer locations as required.
  • The position may also include support calls, guiding callers through problem resolution, managing open tickets, escalating when appropriate, and sharing insights and information to fellow team members.
  • As a Repair Support Specialist, you will actively listen to and enable end users with solutions to common problems. In addition, you will be responsible for call documentation and escalation as necessary.
  • Repair and test handheld welders in the repair Depot and in the field.
  • Manage all aspects of the repair process.
  • Package and arrange shipping of handheld laser welding machines to customer locations.
  • Coordinate activates with the Product support group.
  • Provide technical support to customers
  • Identify hardware and software solutions
  • Diagnosing and repairing faults
  • Dialogue with customers to understand the root of their problem.
  • Talking to customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
  • Following up with customers to ensure the problem is resolved.
  • Visit customer location for replacing or repairing parts as necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Experience in handheld welding
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Primarily domestic travel with the ability to travel internationally
  • Excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills with high and low voltage equipment.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a professional environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift, pull or push objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
