DHHS's recruiting team is in need of temporary help! In this year-long assignment, you'll work closely with a group of HR professionals to assist in recruiting efforts - this includes connecting with candidates through phone and email to promote DHHS jobs, using online software and databases to stay organized, and overall contributing to our mission of Helping People Live Better Lives!

Location: Lincoln or Omaha

Work schedule: M-F, 8-5; Flexible/Part Time scheduling also available based on needs of candidate
Examples of Work

  • Assist with direct sourcing of candidates, including outreach via phone and email to passive and active candidates to promote DHHS job opportunities
  • Review of previous candidate pools to support sourcing efforts
  • Use of applicant tracking system to post positions, review candidates, and send email communications
  • Assist with coordination and facilitation of hiring events, both in person and virtually
  • Other special projects as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Two years of experience performing human resource/personnel work such as recruiting and orientating new employees; processing personnel/payroll transactions and maintaining related databases; or processing or assisting with grievances, disciplinary actions, and related fact-finding.

OR

One year of coursework or training in human resource management, personnel administration, or employee/labor relations, or other administrative discipline with emphasis in human resource management, personnel administration, or employee/labor relations.

PREFERRED: Prior HR experience, recruitment experience, and/or direct customer service experience. Familiarity with online databases is a plus. Top candidates will be well organized and comfortable connecting with prospective job seekers.
