Meets production operational standards by implementing production productivity quality and customerservice standards resolving problems identifying process improvements. Grind and inspect tooling to specifications within .0005 using manually operating grinding machines. Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures complying with legal regulations. Interprets written instructions and specifications including blueprint reading. Assures that parts produced comply with Company quality standards by monitoring the production process following inspection procedures measuring dimensions and identifying variances. Use hand and machine tools as well as precision measuring instruments to make andor rework parts fixtures and tooling used in the manufacturing process. Works to extremely close tolerances and dimensions. Uses precision grinders diamond stones and cutting oils to machine parts to very fine finishes. Maintains reconditions and keeps records of precision plant tooling and precision machines. Will machine from blueprint to fabrication of existing and improved part design to meet manufacturing requirements. Rebuilds repairs or overhauls all types of can manufacturing and other types of equipment and makes or repairs machine parts installs maintains and dismantles machines and mechanical equipment. Job requires experience w both setupedits offsets close tolerance work and understanding of GDandT and or equv. knowledge . Must have own hand tools. Must have experience with both manual mill and lathe. Must be able to move freely between machines. Candidates operations may consist of volume runs or job shop prototype work. Experience w fixturing and tooldie work. Mill Lathe and Grinds. Possess the skills to make a part from start to finish with or without blueprint. High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer vocational conventional machinist training from an accredited institute. Conventional machining experience with journeyman card. Good mechanicalmathematical aptitude. High speed manufacturing experience an asset Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances. Ability to interpret written instructions and specifications. Must be flexible to perform a variety of assignments. Ability to work well with others.
