Posting Summary:

Provide leadership for and oversee the day-to-day management of the Tutoring Center. Direct tutoring services including individual and group tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, recitations, and study groups. Collaborate with institutional partners to design, implement and evaluate academic support efforts based on national standards and best practices. Maintain strong working relationships with faculty. Manage assessment efforts, establishing outcomes, data collection, analysis and reporting. Utilize technology to enhance the delivery of programs. Manage Navigate platform for tutoring referrals, scheduling and records. Hire, train and supervise three full time staff. Manage over 200 student tutors, including hiring, training, supervision and payroll. Manage Tutoring Center budget. Integrate inclusion and equity-focused principles and practices, and ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment exists within tutoring program. Serve on the leadership team of the Center for Academic Success (CFAS), and report to the Director of CFAS.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):

Master's degree and at least three (3) years of full-time experience in a higher education setting supporting student academic success. Experience supervising full-time staff and developing and managing large programs. Effective written and interpersonal communication and collaboration skills. Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion.

Other Information:

Some weekend or evening hours throughout the year.

Special Conditions:

External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees
