VR Developer - 100% REMOTE

Atrilogy's direct client is seeking a Virtual Reality Developer to join their growing XR Experience. This is 100% REMOTE, full-time, direct hire position.

It would be highly beneficial to have project examples of work other than directed/class-oriented tasks.

The VR environment focuses on solutions for training simulations incorporating advanced/complex situational conditions. These environments interact with web content outside the experience in various ways, and integration tasks between the VR experience and external sources are a critical part of the work.

• Apply software engineering background in a core language, such as C++, C# or Java, with the ability to participate in the design and implementation of an application
• Provide development support in one or more 3D gaming engines, such as Unreal, Unity or CryEngine
• Provide communication, documentation and design artifacts using Microsoft Office suite of products, to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Apply troubleshooting and deductive reasoning skills to estimate and diagnose design and architectural challenges
• Utilize basic networking terminology and concepts
• Demonstrate and cultivate knowledge of extended reality hardware accessories, such as HMD controllers, haptics, and tracking devices
• Use practical understanding of 3D modeling, VR scene creation, and network game programming to support product and service-related projects
• Exhibit awareness of concepts around 3D environments and mathematics, such as kinematics, lighting, collision detection, etc.
• Employ skills related to the following technologies in a corporate setting:
  • Remote Access - Remote Desktop, TeamViewer, VNC, GoToMyPC, etc.
  • Online Meeting - Zoom, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Join.Me, GoToMeeting, etc.
  • Source Control - Git, Perforce, CVS, SVN, Team Foundation Server, etc.
  • Security - SAML, Active Directory, OpenSSL, NTLM, Two-Factor Authentication, etc.
  • Text Editing - NotePad++, VI, CodeWright, Emacs, etc.
  • Instant Messaging - Teams, Slack, XMPP, etc
  • Web Servers - Apache HTTP Server, MS IIS, NginX, etc.
  • Web Browsers - Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc
  • Ticketing Systems - SpiceWorks, JIRA, FogBugz, etc.
  • Databases - MS SQLServer, Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
  • Development - Eclipse, Visual Studio, etc.
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines, work in high pressure environments with ambiguous requirements, at times
• Since the Company is still growing, to ensure flexibility, all employees may be asked to perform work not directly related to their job title, as management deems necessary.
