Salary: $70,000.00 USD Annually - $80,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Role Overview:

• Aligns organization on quality and safety, emphasizing core values of ethics, integrity, and stewardship.
• 2nd Shift Supervisor starting at 3:00 pm, occasional Saturdays required.

Talent Management:

• Provides coaching and training, conducts hiring and onboarding.
• Ensures accountability and takes action as needed.
• Conducts performance reviews and evaluates team staffing.
• Monitors and manages attendance, scheduling, and discipline.

Resolution/Regulatory Management:

• Manages day-to-day plant incidents related to food safety and QA.
• Handles non-compliance reports and resolves USDA issues during production.
• Leads resolution of micro deficiencies and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with QA management on issue resolution.

Performance Management:

• Sets goals for sanitation, monitors performance, and executes the master sanitation schedule.
• Participates in billing/cost review/scope of services for sanitation.
• Organizes intensified cleanings and leads weekly sanitation meetings.
• Monitors SSOP, pre-op, and micro KPIs, taking action based on trends.

Team Responsibilities:

• Communicates/reinforces company initiatives impacting QA staff.
• Develops and delivers FSQA training, collaborates with operations for process improvements.
• Attends weekly Ops supervisor meetings and leadership programs.

Process Validation/Execution:

• Performs validation of CCPs and other processes, analyzes data, and makes recommendations.
• Leads evaluation of developments in sanitation/trends in the industry.
• Collaborates with Lab to verify proper execution of sampling programs.
• Participates in the evaluation of the overall plant pre-op program.

Experience:

• Requires a minimum of 2 years in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, or Sanitation.
• People management experience preferred.
• USDA or FDA experience is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.

Education:

Requires a Bachelor's degree or better.
