The New Hampshire Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

As an Academic Instructor, you will have a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of our students. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and impactful lessons, developing a love for learning among students, and equipping them with the necessary academic skills for a successful career path.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning styles and needs of our students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance and guidance to students who may require additional support.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive and motivational atmosphere that inspires students to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • A valid in-state teaching certificate or waiver required.
  • Teaching certification or relevant experience in the subject area.
  • Passion for working with young adults and a commitment to their personal and academic growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
