POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining financial integrity of assigned accounting processes including the financial close process, journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed assets, internal and external audit support. The Accounting manager will interact and work corporate and field accounting personnel as well as internal and external auditors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Reconcile cash.
• Prepare various account reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Prepare journal entries in support of month end close.
• Examine a variety of financial statements and documents for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with accounting requirements. May prepare projections of accounting data to show impact of proposed changes on income and financial condition.
• Identify complex accounting problems, research and propose solutions
• Assure systems and policies are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP).
• Analyze financial records and submit adjustments to financial records to maintain accuracy and
conformance to Company procedures and regulations.
• Provide internal and external audit support.
• Assist with the maintenance and application of internal controls
• Work with other departments on accounting issues.
• Cross train with other accounting personnel so all processes have a backup
• Various projects to support the Vice President / Controller
• Analyze, classify, and review complex accounting transactions and interrelationships
• Prepare and/or review interpretation of accounting results. Advise management on the meaning of results.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (four-year college or university) and five to seven years’ experience strongly preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills


Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with proficiency in quick ad hoc data analyses of many large data sets required. Experience in basic report writing and database management strongly preferred. Prior experience with an ERP business system required; Oracle experience preferred.

Certificates & Licenses
CPA preferred
