RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounting Manager/Controller in Websterville, VT.Summary:As a Company Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial activities and operations of our organization. You will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting
• Budgeting and Forecasting

Cash Management:

• Oversee cash flow management, including daily cash balance monitoring and future cash needs forecasting
• Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and liquidity
• Maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage banking activities

Financial Controls:

• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data
• Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with policies and procedures
• Streamline processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency

Tax Compliance:

• Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations
• Accurately prepare and file tax returns in a timely manner
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company

Risk Management:

• Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
• Monitor insurance coverage and assess the adequacy of risk management practices
• Implement procedures to protect the company against fraud and unauthorized activities

ERP and System Updates:

• Oversee the use and maintenance of the Infor Visual ERP system to ensure optimal performance and integration with financial operations
• Lead the annual external audit process, coordinating with auditors and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of audit requirements
• Coordinate the updating and upgrading of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred
• Proven experience in a financial management role, preferably as an Accounting Manager
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; Experience with Infor Visual ERP or other manufacturing ERP is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively
• The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive experience in financial management
