Accounting Manager (Poultry)

Our client in North Georgia is seeking an Accounting Manager within the Poultry Industry.

This is a Full On-Site Direct Hire role.

This role oversees all accounting and financial functions related to various operational aspects within the poultry industry. Responsibilities include timely and accurate reporting of financial data to support effective management, alongside maintaining necessary controls to protect company assets and ensure data accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare regular reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis for the Plant.
• Develop audit schedules to meet both internal and external audit requirements.
• Analyze and interpret data from daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with department managers to create capital and operating budgets.
• Communicate findings and results to management regularly.
• Manage accounting processes including procurement of outside birds, sales to external complexes, and management of special flocks.
• Gain comprehensive familiarity with SAP and Mtech systems, collaborating with information systems and management to enhance performance and reporting.
• Engage and interact with various organizational levels effectively.
• Contribute to teams and projects as needed.
• Ensure accurate reporting of inventories and fixed assets across all cost centers within the live production complex.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably within the poultry industry.
• Proficiency in solving analytical accounting challenges.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP or similar accounting software.
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college/university or related work experience.
