Accounting Supervisor BCforward is currently seeking a Accounting Supervisor for one of our clients. Job Title: Accounting SupervisorDuration: Full time Location: Ham lake, MNJob Type: Direct HireDescription: A well-respected energy provider is looking and Accounting Supervisor to lead the daily work processes and staff of the Accounting Department. You will also manage banking and insurance relationships, maintain the equity account balances of members, and prepare appropriate reconciliations and financial reports to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of accounting functions. You will be relied on to act as department subject matter expert for Accounting and Customer Information Systems software implementations or upgrades, including testing, documenting, and training users on new functionality. This position will lead and encourage a great team to have a positive culture of teamwork, process improvement and collaboration. This position provides a hybrid work arrangement with 1-2 days a week remote.If you are looking for a career and not just a job then keep reading!
What Else Will You Do?

• Provide day-to-day work direction to Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll employees to ensure high quality team results.
• Manage the day-to-day accounting and treasury processes and annual insurance renewals to ensure the proper allocation of funds and to mitigate company risk exposure.
• Implement and maintain Accounting and Customer Information Systems related to general ledger, payments, cash application, and member equity balances to ensure accurate, timely financial transactions, vendor payments and member account balances.

What Experience Should You Have?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience (general ledger, AP, AR, payroll, and remittance processing)
• Supervisory or leadership experience
• A strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and reporting
• Expert knowledge of accounting software systems including testing and implementing new software functionality (Excel - Vlookup, Macros, Pivot tables/ Great Plains or similar, ADP or similar)
• Strong communication and customer relations skills
• Detail oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education

• Master's Degree in Business
• CPA designation
• Great Plains Software experience
