Job Summary

Manage the daily activities of the organization's accounting operations functions, which includes accounts payable, cash management, employee expense reimbursements, fixed assets, various financial reporting and general accounting. Assist in ensuring strong monthly and annual closing process. A primary contact for internal, external auditors and examiners for auditing of the organization's financial statements and accounting functions. Perform responsibilities in an environment in which compliance with Brand Promise, corporate culture, appropriate laws, rules, regulations and policies are maintained at all times. Leads and directs a high performing accounting operations team, including communicating and coordinating resources to support organization strategy implementation.

What You'll Do
  • Perform all functions and duties in compliance with rules, regulations, policies and bylaws.
  • Plan and direct the accounting operations team ensuring that their daily, weekly and monthly functions are completed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Oversee and manage any reporting related to daily cash position, making sure management is aware of future cash inflows and outflows so they can make pertinent decisions about our cash position (invest, borrow, etc.)
  • Oversee and manage the monthly fixed asset activity ensuring that all activity including monthly depreciation is correctly posted.
  • Oversee and manage any monthly reporting of fixed assets (including Project Advance reporting) ensuring that reports accurately reflect the monthly activity.
What You'll Bring
  • BA/BS Degree in accounting, business administration or finance
  • Minimum of four (4) years' experience including demonstrated management skills
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access and data mining software
  • Data base management, experience with Monarch and other data reporting tools, and SQL query preferred
