Accounts Payable Clerk

Overview
Long Prairie Packing, LLC , an American Foods Group Company has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk at our Long Prairie, MN plant.

As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will:

• Assist purchasing department with matching purchase orders to receiving and invoicing and reconciling any differences.
• Code corrects general ledger account numbers on each invoice along with due dates.
• Enter invoices into A/P system and generate payments of checks, wires, and intercompany payments.
• Process raw material purchases and payments.
• Work with corporate office to set up new vendors.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
• Generate reports as needed.
• Assist with month end closing.
• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of accounts payable experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior accounts payable experience.
• Prior experience with MAS or other A/P packages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic PC skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Must be able to perform job duties with minimal direction.
• Good work and attendance record.
