Job Title: Alpine Ski Coach/Outdoor Recreation

Range: $40,000- $43,000 based on experience plus housing
Position Summary: A successful Alpine Ski Coach will provide effective leadership in each of the following areas in relation to their sport: recruiting, teaching/coaching, counseling, marketing, alumni relations, fund raising, and sport administration. It will be necessary to prioritize and balance these activities in a manner that best promotes and advances their sport within all Clarkson University, USCSA and NCAA rules and regulations. The Alpine Ski coach will also be the caretaker of the Outdoor Lodge and is the main contact for our Outdoor Recreation programs. This is a 10 month position that requires the applicant to reside on campus due to job duties, housing will be provided.
General Purpose: To recruit and teach successful student athletes in the sport of Alpine Skiing that will promote and demonstrate the mission and goals of Clarkson University. Coordinate and be a liaison for Outdoor Recreation activities at the University.

Essential Skills: Tactical and technical expertise in the sport of alpine skiing; excellent communication skills; ability to multi-task; must be able to problem solve, suggest and implement solutions.
Education:
Minimal Qualifications: Bachelor Degree
Preferred Qualifications: Master's in related field
Experience:
Minimal Qualifications: Previous Collegiate Alpine Ski experience. Demonstrated commitment to furthering the goals and objectives of both, the University and the Athletics Department. Ability to successfully recruit quality student athletes, understanding the role of the student athlete in a competitive academic/athletic environment, and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a variety of constituency groups. Knowledge of the NCAA Division III rules and the USCSA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications: At least two years as a collegiate ski coach.
