SUMMARY
Perform the snow removal duties for the Streets Department. Alternate snowplow drivers supplement and substitute regular snowplow drivers for the City of Fort Collins during the winter season. There are no guaranteed hours and work schedules vary. Drivers must be flexible to work day or night shifts for weather events.

This position is non-benefitted hourly position. Hourly employees are highly valued team members that Streets recognizes by providing the following perks:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all inclusive.
-Perform snow removal, primarily in parking lots and on sidewalks
-Operates and maintains snow removal equipment.
-May operate small equipment.
-May input daily work data into a computer.
-Support a positive safety culture.
-Work in a team environment and communicate effectively.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
-Ability to work on call, overtime, and after hours as needed.
-Ability to operate and maintain equipment and/or vehicles.
-Basic computer and data entry skills.
-Knowledge of general vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair.
-Ability to perform basic math functions.
-Ability to adhere to safety requirements and identify safety concerns and improvements.
