Applications Analyst (Onsite)

Type: Contract to Hire

Schedule: Onsite 5 days per week

Pay: $50 - $60/hour (depending on experience)

Position Summary

Supports line of business applications by analyzing and resolving issues, evaluating requests, and coordinating between users, other Information Technology functions, and vendors. After power users and Help Desk, is the next line of support, and is expected to provide detailed expertise in the specific applications assigned. Will be involved in patch evaluation, vendor provided fixes, minor and major upgrades, and implementations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the end users for the assigned business applications, including training, resolving issues, and recommending and implementing solutions.

• Administer application configuration, security, licensing, and renewals.

• Understand and administer tools supporting the application.

• Provide support for integration with other applications, including Application Programming Interfaces (API), scripts, etc.

• Provide internal controls information, including controls for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) designated applications, to the compliance team.

• Manage vendor relations from the technical perspective and utilize the vendor and other support options to resolve issues that are beyond internal application expertise.

• Coordinate changes through the change control process, including testing & obtaining signoff from business and Information Technology approvers, and monitor implementation and impact of changes.

• Understand the applications roadmaps and understand the positive or negative impacts of implementing changes.

• Understand the infrastructure architecture and how the applications interact with it.

• Work closely with each of the other groups in Information Technology, to provide the best possible application delivery and support to the end user community for the assigned applications.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Experience, Licensure

• Associates Degree in Computer Science or a related field of study; or Two (2) years of experience providing direct support to end users of technical applications, help desk or other.

Preferred Education and/or Experience, Licensure

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study; or four (4) years of direct experience with either the assigned applications or applications with similar functions.

• Training certifications for the assigned business applications.

Travel Requirements - 5%

• Minimal domestic travel may be required to other locations.
