RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Lease Accounting Specialist to join their team and play a vital role in managing lease accounting activities. This role will be hybrid. The ASC 842 Consultant will work closely with various teams, including the Brazil team, AP, Legal, and Procurement teams, to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with lease accounting standards, including ASC 842. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working in a hybrid onsite environment.Responsibilities:- Interact with the Brazil team, AP, Legal, and Procurement teams to facilitate lease accounting activities
- Implement ASC 842 standards and ensure compliance with lease accounting regulations
- Assist with modules and ensure accurate reporting of lease-related items
- Work on leasing contracts, including reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting lease agreements
- Learn existing processes and assist in the implementation of new processes
- Ensure that allocations are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Act as a hands-on contributor, diving into the details and executing tasks effectively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve lease accounting issues and discrepancies
- Stay updated on lease accounting regulations and best practices
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification is a plus but not required
- Fluency in Portuguese is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting standards
- Experience working with leasing contracts and lease accounting processes
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid onsite environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with S4 or other ERP systems is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
