Kenyon College is conducting a search for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Assistant Director of Experiential Learning in the Career Development Office. The Assistant Director reports to the Associate Director of Experiential Learning. The Assistant Director offers 1:1 career advising and group programming; provides outreach and support to faculty and campus partners; and administers experiential learning initiatives managed by the Career Development Office, including summer internship stipend funding and resource development experiential learning.The Assistant Director is a member of the Career Development Office (CDO), which is positioned within the Academic Affairs Division. The Assistant Director will report to the Associate Director of Experiential Learning. This is a 12-month position. Essential Functions:
    Support a diverse community of students and alumni in evaluating their skills, values and professional interests through advising, workshops, and programming.Serve as a resource for faculty who wish to embed professional reflections or advising into a course project or syllabus.Continually partner with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Center for Global Engagement teams in order to tailor career resources for students supported by these departments.Oversee committee responsible for awarding and stewarding funds for summer internships expenses.Oversee strategy for stewardship and allocation of internship stipend awards in conjunction with the Associate Director of Experiential Learning.Create tools and resources for intern supervisors that support the learning and development of students participating in experiential learning, including on-campus student work.Regularly assess and evaluate effectiveness of programs and operations.Attend and present at local, regional or national conferences related to essential job functions.Regularly update CDO staff on available and upcoming experiential learning opportunities to share with students, academic departments and campus partners.Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Experiential Learning.
Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Team player, excited to work collaboratively with others.An affinity for and commitment to the value of a liberal arts education.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Handshake, Power BI, Adobe Creative Suite, Qualtrics, Google G Suite.Experience addressing career or professional development needs of underrepresented populations.

Working ConditionsThis position may require travel and the associated physical demands, as well as occasional work during evenings and weekends.
