Compensation: $52,000 annually
Worksite Location: NCAT Campus

Overview / Job Summary:
The Associate Registrar provides leadership for the College, along with the Registrar, in ensuring the integrity of student academic records and the fair, knowledgeable application of related academic policies.  The Associate Registrar is expected to handle multiple responsibilities, solve complex problems, and ensure that systems and processes meet service expectations with some autonomy  This includes assisting Registrar with the management of department staff, certifying accurate and timely enrollment data submissions, maintaining DegreeWorks functionality for online registration and degree audits, maintaining the course catalog and validation tables in Banner, assisting students and faculty, and ensuring FERPA compliance at all times

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
 
    Responsible for the monthly enrollment certification of students and sends electronic files to the National Student Clearinghouse. Works to rectify report errors and correction of student enrollment status.Assists Registrar with the evaluation and certification of students for graduation according to federal and college approved guidelines and provides active assistance to ensure the correct and timely production of degree requests. Assists Registrar with directing activities of department staff; supervises Records Specialist, including training/performance management Responsible for administrative attendance drops.  Works with faculty and staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely enrollment updates to meet compliance standardsIn the absence of the Registrar, the Associate Registrar will act on all matters, including making decisions, attending meetings, interpreting, and implementing policies, etc. that the Registrar normally engages in while on campus.Excellent customer service skills: Ability to communicate effectively, listen actively, and consistently demonstrate a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor when interacting with customers. Committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues that may arise in a prompt and courteous manner.
The individual in this role is responsible for managing DegreeWorks, overseeing final degree audits, providing training to faculty and staff, and addressing issues related to accurate degree audit production. They independently make decisions on course scribing and process exceptions on student plans. Additionally, they stay updated on changes in federal and state policies, support commencement activities, and supervise the evaluation of transfer credits. The role involves overseeing schedule maintenance, reviewing attendance and grade submissions, correcting database records, and ensuring the integrity of student academic records.

Education:
    Associates Degree in related field required, Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
Preferred Experience & Skills:
    Minimum 2 years’ experience in higher education, preferred. Experience in an academic records office, human resources, compliance and/or regulatory experience, preferred.Familiarity with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), preferred. The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential. Knowledge of Banner, Student Services software, is preferredEffective problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. Professionally motivated to complete accurate timely work.Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel are required.

    Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner. Skilled in working with internal and external customers in a service-oriented manner.  Must be able to work in a multi-tasked, high-volume environment, completing multiple and competing priorities.Detail oriented with strong organizational skills required for success in this position.
