Automated Software Test Developer

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement scripts that drive the automated testing efforts for the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons Systems (GWS) Ground Support Systems (GSS) product team.
- Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development to include requirements definition, integration, and deployment.
- Develop scripts for automated testing.
- Perform post-test / log analysis and support the development of the associated documentation.
- Conduct analysis and resolution of off-nominal results.
- Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with limited oversight and direction.
- Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs.
- Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives.
- Active Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience.
- Years of experience for this role is capped at 5 years
- Python programming and script development
- Experience developing software in object-oriented programming languages such as C, C++, or Java.
- Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance which is required to start.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel.
- Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions based on limited direction and definition.
- Development utilizing a Linux based development environment.
- Knowledge of various scripting languages and tools: MATLAB, etc.
- Software Test Automation and Automated Test Tool experience (e.g., Eggplant, etc.)
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices.
- Security + Certification
