What You Will Be Doing Provide technical interface for Project Managers and Solutions Architects about field of expertise. Design and implement automated systems. Provide bill of materials needed for assigned projects.
As required, participate in and oversee project meetings.
Collaborate with project, shop, and field teams to offer clients the most effective solutions.
Assist field service technicians with their application needs.
Creating SCADA and PLC software solutions both on- and off-site to better meet the demands of the application
When necessary, conducting research and creating third-party applications
Support for SCADA and PLC software programs, both on-site and off-site as needed
Maintain complete and accurate records for all assigned projects.
Help out with project proposals, the scope of work, contingencies, and any other help that Project Managers and Solutions Architects may need.
Provide bill of materials needed for assigned projects; Automated system design and execution; Technical liaison for Project Managers and Solutions Architects about field of expertise
Participate in and lead project meetings as needed.
Work with shop/field/project teams to provide most efficient solutions to clients
Support field service technicians with applications
The best SCADA and PLC software programs are developed both on-site and off-site to meet the requirements of the application.
When necessary, research and development of third-party apps
When necessary, onsite and remote assistance for SCADA and PLC software applications
Continue to keep detailed records of all allocated projects.
What You Need for this Position Comprehensive understanding of SCADA software platforms (FactoryTalk, OnPing, Ignition, Wonderware, Factory Studio, iFix, ZD SCADA, VT SCADA, etc.)
Thorough familiarity with and comprehension of industrial serial/fieldbus protocols (Modbus RTU, DNP3, ControlNet, DeviceNet, CANBus, Automation Direct Koyo, DH485, DF1, RemoteIO, Data Highway Plus, etc.)
Practical experience with industrial layer 3 networking
Proficient understanding of PLC software platforms (Studio 5000, RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, Connected Component Workbench, Siemens TIA Portal, GE Proficy, Automation Direct, Modicon, Schneider Electric, IDEC, etc.)
Thorough familiarity and comprehension with industrial ethernet communication protocols (such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC/UA, OPC/DA, MQTT, and Profinet).
Thorough familiarity with and comprehension of industrial serial/fieldbus protocols (Modbus RTU, DNP3, ControlNet, DeviceNet, CANBus, Automation Direct Koyo, DH485, DF1, RemoteIO, Data Highway Plus, etc.)
Practical experience with industrial layer 3 networking
Practical experience with wireless telemetry systems
Practical experience with database management systems (Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
