Job Description Summary
This position supports the newly formed Center for Epilepsy and Neuro-Developmental Disorders (ENDD) and works with the Director and to oversee the administrative and financial duties of ENDD to advance the programmatic activities of the Center. It also is responsible for the Director's research portfolio, including the Leducq Transatlantic Network program. As part of the Department of Physiology, this position provides financial analysis for the Departmental faculty and senior leadership in support of budget and operational initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • . Monitor the budget and spending on the ENND Center (15%)
    . Develop budgets and subaccounts for collaborators (10%)
    . Manage and monitor Pilot Projects and seed funds (5%)
    . Prepare grant budgets and enter proposals into PennERA (5%)
    . Prepare salary grids for ENND members and Director's staff. Update Workday (10%)
    . Monitor and approve spending and reimbursements (10%).
    . Develop annual Leducq budget. Prepare quarterly and annual reports (15%)
    . Prepare and analyze monthly reports, monitor and communicate spending patterns,
    account balances, and variances for faculty portfolios (10%)
    . Manage discretionary, tech transfer, gift, Special purpose, and endowment funds (10%)
    . Review effort reports (5%)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years business experience, preferably with grant accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Master's degree and 5-7 years of business experience preferred.
  • Experience in university financial systems preferred. Strong background in MS Office suite of products required with proficiency in Business Objects strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, organizational and writing skills desired.
    Expertise with Workday and PennERA strongly preferred. Ability to apply organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines; ability to prioritize.

$51,824.00 - $78,096.00
Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
