Change Management Consultant
Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years Change Management experience on enterprise Agile Transformation projects ideally in financial services/banking industry
  • 8+ years overall PM, CM, or OM experience
  • Change management certification (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, LaMarsh) highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manages a team of change management professionals, and supports that team as they integrate change management activities into project plans, ensuring projects and change initiatives meet business success criteria, time and budget objectives.
2. Actively engages in and leads high-complexity initiatives and projects, as allocated and assigned, to provide change management solutions that increase benefit realization, value creation, return on investment and the achievement of desired results and outcomes.
3. Facilitates and supports the design, development and delivery of change management related communications for assigned projects, functional groups, and from other requesting groups.
4. Supports project training efforts through documenting training requirements, and supporting the design and delivery of training programs and methods.
5. Incorporates change management best practices and strategies into an overall change management methodology. Periodically reviews and enhances the change management methodology.
6. Applies, educates associates on, and enforces the use of a structured change management methodology to change management activities, initiatives and projects.
7. Serves as a senior change management subject matter expert using best practice methodologies, tools and techniques focusing on the people side of change.
8. Supports change management educational needs across the enterprise.
9. Serves as a senior change management resource to executives, senior leaders, managers, projects and initiatives. Provides change management coaching and consultative support for leaders, departments, groups and teams, as assigned and requested.
10. Integrates activities with Process & Change Management group associates, to ensure seamless delivery of process, change and training services and support.
11. Estimates change management initiative effort, including time, resources, skill levels and associated costs for incoming requests for change management support.
12. Assigns change management staff to accepted initiatives and projects.
13. Develops operational reports on change management staff assignments, allocations and capacity, including group-level budgets for the change management team.
14. Evaluates change management team performance, train and mentor change management direct reports, and advise and recommend on staff skill enhancement needs and opportunities.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Participates in special projects, and performs other duties as assigned.
2. Perform business process mapping, as required, in conjunction with Process Management associates.
3. Acts as a coach and/or mentor to Change Management Specialists and Senior Specialists to enhance their abilities, application and growth in change management.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in Change Management, Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Organizational Development or other relevant discipline.
2. Eight (8) or more years of Change Management, Communications, Project Management, Organizational Development or other relevant experience, including five (5) or more years leading change initiatives and/or change management teams.

Other Qualifications:
1. Graduate degree in Change Management, Organizational Development, Communications, Project Management, or other relevant discipline preferred.
2. Management/supervisory experience preferred.
3. Change management certification (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR, LaMarsh) preferred.
4. Knowledge of business process management and organizational training preferred.
5. Proven experience with large-scale organizational change initiatives, and a solid understanding of organizational development theory.
6. Extensive knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
7. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the proven ability to motivate and lead individuals and teams.
8. Experience in developing and delivering training curriculums in support of large scale and technical change initiatives.
9. Demonstrated consulting and facilitation capabilities including, but not limited to meeting facilitation, negotiations, working across organizational boundaries, process mapping and problem solving.
10. Combined strategic and detailed orientation and organization with a strong business acumen and a familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle.
11. Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences. Excellent active listening skills.
12. Able to build and maintain relationships, working effectively at all levels of the organization. Skilled at influencing others, building consensus, and moving toward a common vision or goal.
13. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, establishing strategic objectives, project plans and milestone goals, as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
14. Demonstrated problem solving and root cause identification skills that enhance working with problems that are complex and often unique. Ability to maintain flexibility and resilience when working in ambiguous situations.
15. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
