Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section of Neonatology, seeks board certified/board eligible neonatologists to provide neonatal care at our off-site community hospitals. Responsibilities include attendance at deliveries, resuscitations, codes, stabilization for transport, and care for all enhanced Level 2 and tertiary level NICU patients. We especially welcome applicants who within the past five years have cared for newborns requiring intensive care. This position does not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation, including a generous package of fringe benefits, is dependent on qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the States of Illinois and Indiana, and 3) be Board certified or eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
