RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is immediately adding a full-time Communications Manager in support of our nationally recognized, Consumer and Commercial Electronic R&D client in Houston, Texas (TX).Key Tasks:
  • Communications Manager applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives
  • Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope
  • May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process
  • Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution
  • May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues
  • Develop, drive, and evaluate employee, field or channel communications strategies and programs to drive desired behavior
  • Understand the communications needs of various internal audiences (i.e., field, senior leaders, HR, first-level managers, all employees) crafting messages that are impactful and lead to desired outcomes
  • As a Communications Manager, you will provide employee, field, or channel consultancy to recommend best-fit solution to meet marketing or business objective
  • Manage and direct assigned agencies or contractors
  • Manage functional budgets


REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration
  • 5+ years of experience in employee communications, journalism, or marketing
  • Solid writing and editing skills - some peer or manager edits typically needed
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Organization and program management skills
  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles
  • Ability to handle most unique situations


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
