As a communications manager for Viator, you'll lead consumer communications, manage internal communications, and support on issues management for a leading global tours and activities brand. This role involves supporting the global team, and executing campaigns in the US.

Your responsibilities:

  • Lead consumer media strategy for Viator, including conceptualizing and owning a global content calendar
  • Develop pitch materials, including gathering and analyzing data, for use across global markets
  • Lead consumer media relations efforts. Generate traffic-driving media coverage, including:
    • Pitching to national, online, regional, lifestyle and consumer media
    • Identify top tier media and pitch feature/exclusive opportunities
    • Working with an agency to secure coverage
    • Implement global campaigns in the US, localizing for the US market to support globally-driven initiatives
  • Handle sensitive issues and support on issues response, corporate, and internal communications as needed
  • Lead media monitoring and results measurement
  • Manage internal communications calendar, supporting on All Hands meetings, Q&A sessions, executive updates, etc.
What we're looking for

We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic communications manager who has the capability and confidence to lead strategy and execution for global communications campaigns, support on issues response, and work with partners as needed. Viator is a fast-paced environment so the ability to multitask and meet deadlines is crucial.
  • Excellent communicator with advanced understanding of PR strategy and brand management
  • Minimum 5 years of PR and/or communications experience in either an agency or in-house role
  • Experience building the strategy for and leading consumer communications campaigns; global or international experience preferred
  • Agency or team management experience
  • Strong media contacts or demonstrated ability to build contacts
  • Experience working with data, and using data to make decisions
  • Strong organization and analytical skills required
  • Solid judgement and decision making in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible and open to change and new ideas
  • Ability to work on a global team, and balance US and global priorities
  • Leadership and teamwork skills essential
