Summary:

Carry out the daily activities related to the administration of CHRISTUS Health's Human Resources Compensation system. Prepares excel spreadsheets to improve processes and efficiency through data analysis. Identify and prioritize technical and functional requirements to assess and determine criteria to deliver data-driven recommendations and reports. Perform a variety of complex, detailed technical duties, in support of Compensation data processing systems, such as maintaining classification and pay rate tables, calculation of cost analysis, etc. Participates in and problem-solves Compensation issues in the review of system efforts to define, enhance, test and implement changes. Will assist Compensation Team to review and update job descriptions, determine FLSA status, participate in market salary surveys, research and review market data; evaluate and level jobs; conduct internal equity analysis, and provide salary recommendations.

  • Maintain, run and validate data by use of Excel spreadsheet analysis and reports on compensation related data, from our HRIS and survey market pricing systems.
  • Perform validation tests and develop processes and rational within the system, to make sure that data reporting is accurate and administered in a timely manner.
  • Set-up, maintain and update Compensation's Hiring Guides, Shift Diff tables, Premium and variable pay spreadsheets, internal systems, and survey market system components.
  • Complete and maintain thorough documentation of all Compensation work, spreadsheets, job reviews and descriptions, research, analysis, grade adjustments and recommendations.
  • Reviews assigned ServiceNow requests, researches and gathers data, performs analysis and interpretation of data, to provide spreadsheets, solutions and recommendations to HR.
  • Conduct internal equity studies on jobs, and job families to propose cost options to HR.
  • Evaluate job descriptions and job family leveling and participate in Compensation Surveys.
  • Provide ad-hoc, quarterly and annual organization-wide analysis of jobs and job families to determine costs for budget projections.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 4 years of work-related experience required.
  • Advanced PC Excel and spreadsheet skills required, that is, VLOOKUP's; Pivot Tables and Reporting; Macros; Conditional Formatting; Advanced Charting; Data Tables & Formatting.
  • In addition to the BA (or equivalent), 0-2 years of related work experience required.
  • Strong communication and written skills required.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Ability to work within deadlines and handle multiple tasks required.

  • CCP or PHR/SPHR a plus.
