Location: Aiea Heights

Status: Full-time

Days/Hours: TBD

Base pay rate: $19.66 to $21.63 hourly

In this role, you will:

• Receives and transmits all incoming calls requesting courier services to appropriate courier staff via dispatch equipment in a timely manner
• Coordinates courier routes and schedules to provide clients with efficient and timely courier services
• Provides detailed directions of geographic locations to courier personnel when applicable
• Utilizes electronic tracking system to track specimens
• Maintains detailed documentation regarding all routes
• Creates and edits documents using a personal computer
• Sorts and file requisitions
• May be required to fill in as a courier on occasion
• May prepare and pack specimens for shipping as dangerous goods, completing all necessary documentation in accordance with all laws and regulations
• Makes independent decisions about private courier use
• Adheres to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirements
• Maintains consistent and reliable attendance and complies with company guidelines on attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned

All you need is:

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent required
• Knowledgeable of all areas on Oahu required
• Previous dispatch experience preferred
• Current and valid Hawaii driver's license
• Presents and maintains a driving record which meets the standard of the Company's insurance carrier
• Able to operate standard and automatic shift vehicles
• Able to utilize hand trucks/carts, computers, and specimen/package tracking system
• For hospital settings, additional requirements may apply and change without notice, including, but not limited to, criminal background check, health clearance and hospital compliance training
• Successfully pass Company pre-employment drug test and periodic and random thereafter
• Demonstrated and proven ability/experience in accomplishments in all of our five core values:

• 2+ years of experience as a dispatcher and driving cars, trucks, and/or vans.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
