Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Data Scientist to the support to Navy Enterprise Business Solutions program office. The Data Scientist provides support for all types of data, e.g., financial, logistics, IT, and other business data. The data science and analytics team will develop strategies and action plans for the program office. This role requires managing a small team of data analysts/scientists for the Navy program office.
Responsibilities

Requirements for the Data Scientist Lead are as follows:

• The candidate is responsible for developing a community of practice for data science and analytics for the Navy Program Office.
• The candidate will provide data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, robotic process automation (RPA) support for the Program Office.
• The candidate will provide data analysis for financial data, logistics data, and other business relevant data.
• The candidate is required to develop analytical models and conduct exploratory data science studies.
• The candidate must have experience participating on teams with Government personnel, other contractors, and systems integrators for program strategies, data collection, and providing meaningful metrics and analysis.
• The candidate must have will be required to lead a small data analysis team and establish the data analytics program for a major IT business program.
• The candidate will provide administration, coordination, planning, collaboration, and training at different levels and roles in data science/analytics

• The candidate MUST have an ACTIVE Secret Clearance
• The candidate must have a Masters degree in a related field
• The candidate must have at least 8 years of experience in data science
• Must have a certification relevant to data science and/or data analytics
• Must have robotic process automation (RPA) experience
• Must be capable of communicating effectively in writing as well as verbally at a senior management level
• Must be able perform duties on-site, at the Washington Navy Yard (Post COVID) when required
• Must be capable of performing effectively individually and as part of a team
• Must be able to work with minimal oversight and meet deadlines
• Must have effective analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must have short-term and long-term planning skills
• Must be able to manage their time, be on time to meetings, and juggle priorities
