JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting directly to the President, this position is based in Parsons, Tennessee*.

Major Accountability:

  • Manages global product line financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Ensures accurate and timely product line financial and executive management reporting
  • Prepares, analyzes product line related sales and operations metrics including product line, product, market/customer profitability, factory productivity, KPI performance, and initiative delivery (e.g. Lean, 80/20, SIOP, platforms, etc.)
  • Analyzes and provides data regarding profitability of strategic initiatives, new products and upgrades and PL capital expenditures
  • Leads site accounting, including AR, AP, & Audit requirements, consistent with Corporate Accounting requirements.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Manages month-end financial close process with an awareness of all elements of product line financial statements. Prepares financial analysis, performance reports, and business-driven commentary.
  • Administers timely forecasting cycles, strategic business plans, annual budgets and business outlooks consistent with Corporate schedules. Provides fact-based advice to the value stream leaders.
  • Provides support regarding decisions to optimize manufacturing, inventory and asset resources. Analyzes and prioritizes sales opportunities, appropriate distribution channels, freight, rebates, commissions, operations capacity, etc.
  • Assists with continuous process improvement of value stream Lean deployment, global sourcing, make vs buy, Capex return analysis, and alignment to the defined strategy. Partners with management to increase efficiency and profitability, as needed.
  • Supervises the preparation and maintenance of product standard costs; ensures cost standardization principles are applied.
  • Supports PL NPI/NPD teams by providing timely cost estimates, profitability analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Leads site accounting activities including developing processes and practices that ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and standards.
  • Supervises, audits the preparation and calculation of monthly/quarterly/annual rebate and commission payments.
  • Supervises, reviews the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual sales and use tax for respective sites.
  • Manages and develops finance team including hiring, training, coaching, goal-setting and performance management

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 12 years of Manufacturing Accounting experience
  • Proven financial leader with strategy, planning, controlling experience
  • Strong experience in operations, processes (finance and operations), systems (Oracle, Hyperion, SAP, etc.)
  • Ability to work across cultures
  • Team development capabilities
  • Work will be performed at Kolpak
  • Typical office environment: Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required.
