The Manufacturing Engineer I plays a crucial role in the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems to ensure efficient production of high-quality products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing engineering principles, and employing continuous improvement methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes, drive cost savings, and maintain product quality and consistency.

  • Member of product launch teams for manufacturing engineering support.
  • Develop and maintain operator work instructions for all products.
  • Define future technology requirements.
  • Assist in defining long-range capital planning.
  • Selection, design, justification, implementation, and support of Paint Line, Assembly, CNC, and manufacturing equipment.
  • PLC and 3D modeling work.
  • Enforcement of company rules.
  • Ensure employee safety by ensuring all safety devices are in use and the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn.

  • Report all accidents / near misses to the operations manager and safety manager within 24 hours. Participate in the completion of the accident investigation / report.
  • Assist with implementing and sustaining corrective actions.
  • Ensure associates within a specific production area attend all safety-related training events.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within a specific production area.
  • Maintain 5S initiatives within production area responsibilities.
  • Continually search for process improvements to improve Quality, Productivity, Delivery, Safety and Cost metrics.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software, process simulation tools, and data analysis software.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management skills to lead and execute improvement projects within defined timelines.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory requirements in manufacturing environments.
