Meet the team:

This engineer will support the development of fixtures and equipment used to manufacture and test a wide variety of components for the Dexcom Research and Development team. This engineer will gain a wide spectrum of experience, from developing and improving equipment used in the hardware development cycle to creating and implementing business processes that enable R&D to operate in an manner. In supporting team objectives this engineer will have an opportunity to learn from a wide range of Senior and Staff engineers across a variety of engineering disciplines, with limitless room for technical and career growth.

Where you come in:

  • You will maintain R&D manufacturing equipment, coordinating preventative maintenance and calibrations.
  • You manage design and iterate equipment components for existing and novel sensor manufacturing equipment.

  • You design and iterate sensor testing components for existing and novel sensor functional test equipment.
  • You will solve critical engineering challenges related to hardware and electrical testing
  • You are utilizing in-house and out-of-house machine shops to fabricate parts per defined requirements.
  • You will execute well-designed experiments to assess suitability of designed parts, and critically review the work of others in pursuit of manufacturing and test excellence.
  • You will draft and edit formal documents related to equipment.

What makes you successful:

  • You have hands-on experience with fabrication and/or test equipment. May include machine shop equipment, 3D printers, analytical equipment, vision/test hardware, etc.
  • You bring controller/Automation experience. May include LabView, RaspberryPi, Arduino, etc.
  • Your experience drafting requirements/drawings to achieve a set goal are efficient. Could include drafting designs to be quoted, flow diagrams or algorithms to describe a process, etc.
  • You posses excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills.
  • You have a high ability to run self-directed projects, manage timelines, and execute projects in a collaborative environment.

  • You have effective technical writing skills, including ability to write protocols, design of experiments (DOEs) and other technical reports and documents.
  • Aptitude to contribute to intellectual property development.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master's degree and 0-2 years' equivalent experience.

$71,600.00 - $119,300.00
