Summary: Jumpstart your career to see the theoretical transformed to the applied! The Facilities Systems Engineer I (FSEI) gets to see their engineering degree come alive, first hand, in real time on real, large-scale mechanical, plumbing, and electrical equipment! The FSEI spends the first one to one-and-a-half years in guided training to become familiar with the operations of a chilled water and steam generation plant providing services to a multi-building campus with a hospital. We ask only that you remain interested and committed to the training program and work and learn to be promoted to the FSEII position where you will get to operate the plant! During the program you'll be guided and supported by your peers, supervisor, and technical staff whose interest is to see you succeed! All training and certificates are paid for by RPCCC. The starting salary for this position is $70,317 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

The FSEII position offers opportunities to create and implement energy savings, improve equipment performance, and contribute to plant improvements will follow.

If you like to "tinker" with mechanical stuff, cars, home appliances, or build your own technology, this might be a great job for you!
