Job Responsibilities

Performs professional duties in the maintenance of accounting records, the verification and documentation of financial transactions, and the preparation of financial reports. Reviews complex budgetary requests for completeness, verifies estimates, prepares budgetary summaries of departmental activities and objectives and analyzes program benefits/cost-effectiveness measures. Analyzes, prepares and distributes various financial and fiscal reports and statements on accounts for internal and external use. Reviews operating procedures to determine that sound internal controls are in place and properly functioning.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and professional experience directly related, such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer a bachelor's degree with fifteen (15) semester hours in accounting related courses and three (3) years accounting experience with knowledge of state and federal governmental fiscal and accounting processes.
